Danielle Marie Fusco is back by popular demand, bringing her Italian Dance Performance Track Series to YUG Wellness in Astoria, Queens. This immersive five-session commitment invites dedicated participants to move, sweat, create, and perform while reconnecting with the living traditions of Southern Italian folk dance in a joyful, community-centered environment. This performance-focused series is a high-energy, heart-opening journey rooted in rhythm, storytelling, and cultural lineage. Students will study and embody traditional Southern Italian dances including the pizzica, tammuriata, tarantella calabrese, and more. These forms are known for their grounding footwork, expressive arms, dynamic turns, and powerful connection to the earth, the drum, and communal ritual. While accessible to all levels, this track is designed for those ready to commit to a deeper creative and performance process. Commitment to all five sessions is required. This is a cohesive rehearsal and choreography series culminating in a June performance. Participants will work collaboratively to refine movement vocabulary, musicality, spatial awareness, and performance presence, while honoring the cultural roots of each dance form. The performance choreography will be dedicated to one tarantella, however, class will cover multiple. This track is ideal for anyone who wishes to expand their expressive range and share Italian folk dance with the wider community. Classes take place on Saturdays from 2:30–3:30 p.m., followed by required rehearsals from 3:30–5:00 p.m., at YUG Wellness in Astoria, Queens, on the following dates: February 28th, March 14th, April 25th, May 30th, and June 13th. Each session builds intentionally toward the final performance and attendance is essential. Performance Track Pricing • $250 for the full series and June performance Please note: an additional costume fee for performers will be announced. Waiver of LiabilityYou assume all risks, including injury, illness, or property damage, and release Danielle Marie Fusco, Danielle Marie Fusco, Inc., Italian Arts Festival, American Strega, and affiliates from any claims. You affirm you are in good health and should consult a physician if needed. You agree to hold harmless the instructor for any claims arising from participation, including technical issues, environmental hazards, or injuries in your practice space. 3. Zoom Usage and Privacy For online services, you agree to use Zoom responsibly. Recording, reproducing, or distributing class content is strictly prohibited. The instructor reserves the right to remove disruptive participants without a refund. 4. Booking and Payment PolicyAll sales are final. Payments must be made in advance, and no refunds, transfers, or credits are provided for missed classes or cancellations. If the instructor cancels or reschedules, a reschedule or future class credit will be offered. 5. Acknowledgment and ConsentBy registering, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy, accepting all terms and risks.
