Dance your way into Italian culture! Join Danielle Marie Fusco for an exciting Italian dance experience celebrating the music, movement, and traditions of Italy.

Whether you're a complete beginner or already love to dance, these welcoming adult classes offer a chance to move, connect, learn, and have fun while exploring the rich regional dance traditions of Italy—including the vibrant rhythms and spirit of the Tarantella.

Now offering flexible hybrid classes: attend in person at the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance in Ridgefield, Connecticut, or join us online from anywhere in the world. You can participate from the comfort of your home when you can't make it to the studio, or experience the energy and connection of dancing together in person.

No previous Italian dance experience is necessary. Come as you are, bring your enthusiasm, and discover the joy of Italian dance!

About the Event

Step into the sacred sanctuary of the Roslyn Salt Cave for an immersive three-hour journey honoring memory, lineage, and spiritual connection. Rooted in ancient Southern Italian folk traditions, this workshop offers a rare space to remember, honor, and weave deeper connections with those who came before us. Set within the purifying microclimate of the salt cave, this experience combines folk ritual, hands-on craft, sacred movement, and deep meditative healing.

What to Expect

Community Altar & Sacred Offering: Gather around a central communal altar to honor loved ones and ancestors. Participants are invited to bring a sacred personal item, photograph, or small offering to place on the altar during the ceremony.

Traditional Italian Broom Making Workshop: Learn the ancient art and symbolism of broom crafting. Brooms have long served as sacred tools for clearing physical and energetic space, protecting the hearth, and sweeping away stagnant energy.

Italian Ritual Dance of Tammuriata: Experience the rhythmic, grounding folk dance of Southern Italy. Set to the heartbeat of traditional frame drums, the Tammuriata is a powerful movement ritual designed to embody expression, community connection, and sacred reverence.

Ancestral Healing Meditation in the Salt Cave: Close the journey nestled inside the halotherapy salt environment with a guided meditation and intuitive energy clearing focused on releasing inherited weights, honoring lineage wisdom, and inviting deep personal restoration.

Event Details & Preparation

Arrival: Workshop begins promptly at 12:00 PM. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in and settle into the space

What to Bring: A sacred item or photo for the community altar, comfortable clothing suitable for gentle ritual movement, and an open heart.

The Italian Arts Festival: The Spirit of Italy presents a special seasonal offering celebrating La Befana, Italy’s beloved gift-bringing folklore figure, alongside the vibrant traditions of Italian folk dance and the Tarantella.
